Job Overview

Whassan Nigeria Limited is looking for an experienced Offshore Cook to prepare and serve nutritious and appealing meals to personnel on offshore platforms. The ideal candidate will maintain exceptional hygiene standards and contribute to a positive living and working environment for the crew.

Key Responsibilities

• Plan and prepare daily menus, considering nutritional balance and dietary needs.
• Cook a variety of meals, from simple to more complex dishes, to a high standard.
• Manage inventory of food supplies and order provisions as needed.
• Ensure all kitchen areas, equipment, and utensils are cleaned and sanitized regularly.
• Adhere to strict food safety and hygiene regulations (HACCP principles).
• Maintain accurate records of food consumption and waste.
• Work collaboratively with other crew members to ensure efficient operations.

Requirements

• Proven experience as a Cook, preferably in an offshore or remote environment.
• Proficiency in various cooking techniques and cuisines.
• Strong understanding of food safety and hygiene standards.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Excellent organizational and time-management skills.
• Physical stamina and ability to work long hours in a demanding environment.
• Valid offshore medical and survival certifications will be an added advantage.
