Job Overview
The Truck Driver will be responsible for operating company vehicles to transport goods and materials to designated locations. This position requires a commitment to safety, adherence to traffic regulations, and maintaining the operational readiness of the assigned vehicle.
Key Responsibilities
- Safely operate trucks and other company vehicles in compliance with all traffic laws and company policies.
- Transport materials, equipment, and goods to and from various project sites and locations.
- Conduct pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections to ensure safe operating condition.
- Maintain accurate logs of mileage, fuel consumption, and delivery details.
- Ensure proper loading and unloading of cargo, securing items to prevent damage or shifting.
- Report any vehicle malfunctions or accidents promptly to the supervisor.
Requirements
- Valid Nigerian driver’s license with a clean driving record.
- Proven experience as a truck driver, preferably within the engineering or logistics sector.
- Knowledge of traffic laws and safe driving practices.
- Ability to perform basic vehicle maintenance checks.
