Job Overview

The Internal Controller Officer will be instrumental in ensuring the financial integrity and operational efficiency of Lily Hospitals. This role requires a strong understanding of financial regulations, internal control frameworks, and risk management principles within the healthcare sector. The successful candidate will play a key role in safeguarding hospital assets and promoting sound financial practices.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop, implement, and maintain robust internal control systems and policies across all hospital operations.
  • Conduct regular internal audits and risk assessments to identify potential financial and operational vulnerabilities.
  • Ensure compliance with relevant financial regulations, accounting standards, and company policies.
  • Monitor and analyze financial transactions, identifying any discrepancies or irregularities.
  • Prepare detailed audit reports with recommendations for process improvements and corrective actions.
  • Collaborate with department heads to reinforce internal control awareness and best practices.
  • Assist in the development and implementation of fraud prevention strategies.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
  • Professional certification such as ACA, ACCA, CPA, or CISA is highly desirable.
  • Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in internal audit, risk management, or a similar financial control role.
  • Strong knowledge of accounting principles, auditing standards, and internal control frameworks.
  • Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel.
  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
  • Integrity, discretion, and a keen eye for detail.
