Job Overview

This roving consultancy role provides remote-based financial management support to UNICEF country offices, focusing on HACT implementation, cash transfer programming, and financial accountability systems. You will serve as a technical advisor, ensuring compliance with UN regulations and UNICEF policies while strengthening financial capacity across partner organizations.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide technical guidance on HACT implementation and cash transfer modalities
  • Review and strengthen financial management systems in country offices
  • Conduct risk assessments and develop mitigation strategies
  • Train staff and partners on financial accountability and compliance procedures
  • Monitor program expenditures and ensure effective resource utilization
  • Prepare comprehensive reports on financial findings and recommendations

Requirements

  • Master’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or related field
  • Minimum 8 years of experience in financial management or accounting
  • Proven expertise with HACT systems and cash transfer programming
  • Strong knowledge of UN financial regulations and UNICEF policies
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple assignments remotely
  • Fluency in English; additional languages preferred
