Bons Industries Limited, a leading Nigerian manufacturer and supplier of high-quality bakery materials, food ingredients, breakfast cereals, packaged foods, and sweeteners since 1989, is seeking a diligent and experienced Internal Auditor to join our team in Nigeria. This role is crucial in safeguarding company assets, ensuring compliance with policies, and enhancing operational efficiency.

Job Overview

The Internal Auditor will be responsible for independently evaluating the effectiveness of internal controls, risk management processes, and governance operations. This position requires a proactive approach to identifying potential areas of improvement and recommending corrective actions to management.

Key Responsibilities

  • Conduct comprehensive audits of financial and operational processes.
  • Assess compliance with company policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements.
  • Identify and document control weaknesses and operational inefficiencies.
  • Develop and implement audit plans and programs.
  • Prepare detailed audit reports with clear findings and actionable recommendations.
  • Follow up on the implementation of audit recommendations.
  • Communicate audit findings to relevant stakeholders.

    • Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
  • Professional certification such as CIA, ACCA, or ACA is preferred.
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in internal auditing.
  • Strong understanding of internal control frameworks and risk management principles.
  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and report-writing skills.
  • Proficiency in audit software and Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Impeccable integrity and professional ethics.
