The International Institute of Tropical Agriculture (IITA) is seeking a dedicated and skilled Accountant II to join our team in Nigeria. Job Overview

The Accountant II will play a key role in supporting IITA’s financial operations, contributing to accurate financial reporting, effective budgeting, and compliance with relevant financial regulations. Key Responsibilities

  • Assist in the preparation of financial statements, reports, and analyses.
  • Manage accounts payable and accounts receivable processes.
  • Support budget preparation and monitoring activities.
  • Ensure adherence to internal financial policies and procedures.
  • Process and reconcile financial transactions accurately and efficiently.
  • Assist with audit preparations and provide necessary documentation.
  • Maintain accurate and organized financial records.
  • Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
  • Professional accounting certification (e.g., ACCA, ICAN) is an advantage.
  • Minimum of 3 years of relevant accounting experience.
  • Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Strong understanding of accounting principles and practices.
  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
