Job Overview
The Senior Accountant will play a pivotal role in managing and overseeing the financial operations of Fundsworth Finance Company Limited. This position requires a deep understanding of accounting principles, financial reporting, and regulatory compliance within the Nigerian financial services landscape. Key Responsibilities
- Oversee the preparation and analysis of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements.
- Manage accounts payable and receivable functions, ensuring timely and accurate processing.
- Ensure compliance with all relevant accounting standards, tax regulations, and Central Bank of Nigeria directives.
- Develop and implement internal controls to safeguard company assets and prevent fraud.
- Assist in budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning processes.
- Reconcile bank statements and general ledger accounts.
- Support internal and external audits.
- Provide financial insights and recommendations to management.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
- Professional accounting certification (e.g., ACA, ACCA) is highly desirable.
- Minimum of 5 years of progressive accounting experience, preferably within the financial services sector in Nigeria.
- Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Excel.
- Strong knowledge of IFRS and Nigerian accounting standards.
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
