Job Overview

The Senior Accountant will play a pivotal role in managing and overseeing the financial operations of Fundsworth Finance Company Limited. This position requires a deep understanding of accounting principles, financial reporting, and regulatory compliance within the Nigerian financial services landscape. Key Responsibilities

• Oversee the preparation and analysis of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements.
• Manage accounts payable and receivable functions, ensuring timely and accurate processing.
• Ensure compliance with all relevant accounting standards, tax regulations, and Central Bank of Nigeria directives.
• Develop and implement internal controls to safeguard company assets and prevent fraud.
• Assist in budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning processes.
• Reconcile bank statements and general ledger accounts.
• Support internal and external audits.
• Provide financial insights and recommendations to management.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
• Professional accounting certification (e.g., ACA, ACCA) is highly desirable.
• Minimum of 5 years of progressive accounting experience, preferably within the financial services sector in Nigeria.
• Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Excel.
• Strong knowledge of IFRS and Nigerian accounting standards.
• Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
