Job Overview

The Kitchen Accountant will be responsible for overseeing all financial activities related to the kitchen operations, from inventory management to cost control and financial reporting, ensuring profitability and adherence to budgetary guidelines.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage and reconcile kitchen inventory records, including raw materials and finished goods.
• Track food costs and analyze variances, identifying areas for improvement.
• Process invoices and payments related to kitchen supplies and vendors.
• Assist in the preparation of monthly financial reports for the kitchen department.
• Monitor and enforce cost-control measures within the kitchen.
• Collaborate with the Head Chef and management on budget planning and forecasting.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
• Proven experience as a Kitchen Accountant or in a similar financial role within the hospitality industry.
• Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Excel.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent organizational and time-management abilities.
• High level of accuracy and attention to detail.
