Job Overview
The Business Development Officer will be instrumental in identifying and capitalizing on new business opportunities within the FMCG landscape in Nigeria. This role requires a strategic thinker with a proactive approach to sales and partnership development, contributing directly to the growth and profitability of our investee companies.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and execute comprehensive sales strategies for FMCG products and services.
- Identify and cultivate relationships with key distributors, retailers, and potential clients.
- Conduct market research to identify emerging trends and opportunities.
- Negotiate and close sales agreements, ensuring favorable terms.
- Collaborate with marketing teams to develop effective go-to-market plans.
- Monitor sales performance and provide regular reports to management.
- Build and maintain strong, long-lasting customer relationships.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Marketing, or a related field.
- Proven experience in FMCG sales, with a demonstrable track record of success.
- In-depth understanding of the Nigerian FMCG market and its dynamics.
