Job Overview

The Agronomist will play a crucial role in optimizing agricultural processes, ensuring the quality and sustainability of our raw material sourcing. This position involves on-field technical support, research, and development to enhance crop yields, improve quality, and promote environmentally responsible farming methods across our supply network in Spain.

Key Responsibilities

  • Conduct field trials and experiments to evaluate crop performance and identify best practices.
  • Provide technical guidance and training to farmers on cultivation techniques, pest and disease management, and sustainable farming.
  • Monitor crop health and identify potential risks, implementing preventative measures.
  • Analyze agricultural data to inform decision-making and improve efficiency.
  • Collaborate with procurement and R&D teams to ensure the quality and consistency of agricultural inputs.
  • Promote and implement sustainable and environmentally friendly agricultural practices.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Agronomy, Agricultural Science, or a related field.
  • Proven experience in agronomy, preferably within the food industry or large-scale agriculture.
  • Strong knowledge of Spanish agricultural practices and climate.
  • Excellent understanding of crop physiology, soil science, and plant protection.
  • Proficiency in data analysis and reporting.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with diverse stakeholders.
  • Fluency in Spanish; knowledge of English is a plus.
