Job Overview

The Accountant II / Accounting Assistant will be responsible for performing a range of accounting tasks, including maintaining financial records, assisting with audits, preparing financial reports, and supporting the day-to-day financial management of Achievers University. Key Responsibilities

• Maintain accurate and up-to-date financial records and ledgers.
• Assist in the preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements.
• Process accounts payable and accounts receivable transactions.
• Support the budgeting process and monitor budget adherence.
• Assist with internal and external audits by providing necessary documentation and information.
• Reconcile bank statements and other financial accounts.
• Ensure compliance with relevant financial regulations and university policies.
• Perform other accounting duties as assigned.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
• Professional qualification (e.g., ACCA, ICAN) or ongoing pursuit thereof is an advantage.
• Proven experience as an Accountant or Accounting Assistant, preferably in an educational institution.
• Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Excel.
• Strong understanding of accounting principles and practices.
