Job Overview
The Accountant will be responsible for maintaining accurate financial records, processing transactions, and providing essential financial support to Interrand Homes & Properties Limited. This role is critical in ensuring the smooth operation of our financial department and adherence to all relevant accounting principles and regulations within the Nigerian context.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage daily accounting tasks including accounts payable and receivable.
- Prepare financial statements and reports for management review.
- Reconcile bank statements and general ledger accounts.
- Assist with budgeting and financial forecasting.
- Ensure compliance with relevant tax laws and regulations.
- Process invoices, expense reports, and other financial documentation.
- Support internal and external audits.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
- Proven experience as an Accountant or in a similar role.
- Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Excel.
- Strong understanding of accounting principles and financial reporting standards.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Detail-oriented with a high level of accuracy.
- Good communication and interpersonal skills.
- Professional certification (e.g., ICAN, ACCA) is an added advantage.
