Job Overview

The Head of Internal Audit will direct all internal audit functions, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements, international best practices, and organizational policies. You will report directly to the Board Audit Committee and collaborate with senior management to identify risks and strengthen internal controls across clinical and administrative operations.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and implement comprehensive internal audit plans and strategies
• Oversee audits of financial, operational, and compliance processes
• Lead investigations into potential fraud and irregularities
• Prepare detailed audit reports with actionable recommendations
• Monitor management’s implementation of audit findings
• Ensure compliance with healthcare regulatory standards
• Manage and mentor the internal audit team

Requirements

• Professional accounting qualification (CIA, ACCA, or equivalent)
• Minimum 10 years internal audit experience
• Healthcare industry experience preferred
• Strong knowledge of Nigerian regulatory frameworks
• Excellent leadership and communication skills
