Job Overview

The Recovery Officer will play a crucial role in managing and recovering outstanding debts while maintaining positive client relationships. This position requires a strategic approach to collections, balancing firm recovery protocols with customer retention objectives. You will work closely with our finance and legal teams to ensure optimal recovery outcomes.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage and pursue outstanding loan accounts and receivables
• Initiate contact with debtors using various communication methods
• Negotiate payment arrangements and settlement terms
• Prepare detailed recovery reports and documentation
• Collaborate with legal teams on challenging cases
• Maintain accurate records of all collection activities
• Monitor payment compliance and follow-up actions

Requirements

• Minimum HND/Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Business, or related field
• 3+ years’ experience in debt recovery or collections
• Strong negotiation and communication skills
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office and database management
• Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation
• Excellent problem-solving abilities
