COOPI Ethiopia is seeking a dedicated Finance and Admin Officer to join our team and contribute to our mission.

Job Overview

The Finance and Admin Officer will be responsible for managing the financial and administrative operations of COOPI’s Ethiopia office, ensuring compliance with organizational policies and donor requirements. This role is crucial for maintaining efficient operations and supporting program implementation in a dynamic humanitarian context.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage day-to-day financial transactions, including bookkeeping, payments, and bank reconciliations.
  • Prepare financial reports, budgets, and forecasts in accordance with organizational standards.
  • Ensure accurate and timely processing of payroll and staff reimbursements.
  • Maintain and update administrative records, including personnel files and asset registers.
  • Support procurement processes and ensure adherence to financial procedures.
  • Assist with audits and provide necessary documentation.
  • Provide administrative support to the country office and program teams.
  • Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • Proven experience in financial management and administration, preferably within the NGO or humanitarian sector.
  • Strong understanding of accounting principles and financial reporting.
  • Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal abilities.
  • Fluency in English; knowledge of local Ethiopian languages is an asset.
