Job Overview

AECOM is seeking a proactive and strategic Site Strategy Manager, Data Center Sites, to join our dynamic team. This remote position, based in the U.S., will play a critical role in developing and executing comprehensive site strategies for our expanding data center portfolio. You will leverage your expertise to identify, evaluate, and secure optimal locations that align with our business objectives and growth plans.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and implement long-term site selection and development strategies for data center projects.
• Conduct in-depth market research and site feasibility studies, analyzing factors such as power availability, connectivity, regulatory environment, and workforce.
• Build and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders, including real estate brokers, utilities, government agencies, and local communities.
• Negotiate and manage real estate transactions, leases, and acquisition agreements.
• Collaborate with internal teams, including engineering, construction, and operations, to ensure site strategies meet project requirements.
• Monitor industry trends and best practices in data center site selection.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Real Estate, Business, Engineering, or a related field.
• Proven experience in site selection and development, with a focus on data centers or similar critical infrastructure.
• Strong understanding of real estate markets, contract negotiation, and due diligence processes.
• Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and strategic thinking skills.
• Exceptional communication and interpersonal abilities, with the capacity to influence stakeholders.
