Job Overview
The Manager, EHS Planning will be responsible for developing, implementing, and overseeing comprehensive EHS strategies and plans to mitigate risks, ensure regulatory compliance, and promote best practices within Oando PLC. This position requires a strong understanding of EHS legislation in Nigeria and a proven ability to integrate EHS considerations into all aspects of project and operational planning.
Key Responsibilities
Develop and implement strategic EHS plans and policies aligned with Oando’s corporate objectives.
Conduct comprehensive risk assessments and develop mitigation strategies for all operational activities.
Ensure compliance with all relevant national and international EHS regulations and standards.
Oversee the development and execution of emergency preparedness and response plans.
Drive continuous improvement in EHS performance through monitoring, auditing, and data analysis.
Foster a strong EHS culture through training, awareness programs, and stakeholder engagement.
Manage and mentor the EHS planning team.
Requirements
Bachelor’s degree in Environmental Science, Engineering, Safety Management, or a related field.
Minimum of 7 years of progressive experience in EHS planning and management, preferably within the energy sector.
In-depth knowledge of Nigerian EHS laws and regulations.
Proven experience in developing and implementing EHS management systems.
Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
Professional certifications in EHS (e.g., NEBOSH, IOSH) are highly desirable.
