Job Overview
The Chief Operations Officer will be instrumental in overseeing all day-to-day operations at Vastovers Stemordz Ltd, ensuring seamless execution of our distribution network. This role demands strategic leadership in optimizing supply chain management, enhancing operational workflows, and fostering a culture of continuous improvement to meet market demands and exceed customer expectations.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and implement operational strategies aligned with the group’s overall business objectives.
- Oversee and manage the entire supply chain, including procurement, warehousing, logistics, and inventory management.
- Drive efficiency and cost optimization across all operational functions.
- Ensure compliance with all regulatory requirements and industry best practices for drug distribution.
- Lead and mentor operational teams to achieve high performance and foster a collaborative work environment.
- Implement and manage technology solutions to enhance operational effectiveness and data analytics.
- Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) and implement corrective actions to ensure operational excellence.
- Foster strong relationships with suppliers, partners, and regulatory bodies.
Requirements
- A Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, Operations Management, or a related field. A Master’s degree is preferred.
- Proven track record of at least 10 years in senior operational leadership roles, preferably within the pharmaceutical or FMCG distribution sector.
- Demonstrated experience in managing complex distribution networks and supply chains in Nigeria or similar emerging markets.
- Strong understanding of regulatory compliance within the pharmaceutical industry.
- Exceptional strategic thinking, problem-solving, and decision-making abilities.
- Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
- Proficiency in operational software and ERP systems.
