Job Overview

The Lead Applications Engineer will be responsible for leading the technical application of Drilling and Completion Fluids, providing expert guidance and support to field operations. This role demands a deep understanding of fluid chemistry, rheology, and wellbore hydraulics, coupled with the ability to translate complex technical data into actionable solutions. You will collaborate closely with R&D, sales, and operations teams to ensure customer success.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead the technical application and performance optimization of DCF products and services.
  • Provide expert technical support and problem-solving for complex drilling and completion challenges.
  • Develop and deliver training programs to field personnel on fluid technology and best practices.
  • Collaborate with R&D to provide field insights for new product development and improvement.
  • Conduct root cause analysis and develop recommendations for fluid-related issues.
  • Prepare and present technical reports and recommendations to clients and internal stakeholders.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (Chemical, Petroleum, or related field).
  • Minimum of 7 years of experience in drilling and completion fluids engineering.
  • Proven track record of successful application and troubleshooting of DCF systems.
  • Strong understanding of fluid rheology, chemistry, and wellbore hydraulics.
  • Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to travel to field locations as required.
