Job Overview

The Assistant Head of Operations will play a crucial role in supporting the Head of Operations in managing and optimizing all retail banking operations within the Borno region. This position requires a proactive individual with a strong understanding of banking processes, customer service, and risk management to ensure efficient and compliant service delivery.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assist in overseeing daily branch operations, including transaction processing, cash management, and customer service delivery.
  • Support the implementation of operational policies and procedures to ensure compliance and efficiency.
  • Monitor operational performance metrics and identify areas for improvement.
  • Manage and train operational staff to foster a high-performing team environment.
  • Ensure adherence to all regulatory requirements and internal controls.
  • Contribute to the development and execution of strategies to enhance customer satisfaction and retention.
  • Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Banking, Finance, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • Proven experience in retail banking operations, with a minimum of 3-5 years in a supervisory or managerial capacity.
  • Strong knowledge of banking products, services, and operational procedures.
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
  • Proficiency in banking software and systems.
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple priorities.
