The Accountant will manage financial records, prepare reports, ensure compliance with financial regulations, and provide timely and accurate accounting information to support organizational decisions.

Key Responsibilities

  • Prepare and maintain accurate financial records and statements
  • Monitor and manage accounts payable and receivable
  • Record daily financial transactions and track expenses with proper documentation
  • Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports
  • Analyze financial data and provide insights to management
  • Assist in budget preparation and monitoring
  • Support internal and external audits by providing necessary documents and explanations
  • Ensure compliance with tax laws and financial regulations
  • Use accounting software such as QuickBooks, Sage, Excel, or similar tools
  • Maintain internal controls to safeguard company assets
  • Organize financial filing systems and maintain proper documentation
  • Stay updated on accounting standards and best practices

Qualifications and Requirements

  • OND, NCE, BSc, or HND in Accounting, Finance, or related field
  • Strong knowledge of accounting principles (GAAP/IFRS)
  • Proficiency in accounting software (QuickBooks, Sage, Excel, Xero, SAP, etc.)
  • Excellent attention to detail and accuracy
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills
  • Good communication skills and ability to meet deadlines
