Job Description
First Electric Power and Automation Services Limited, a leading renewable energy company based in Ajah, Lagos, is inviting applications for the position of Junior Accountant. This role offers a unique opportunity to gain hands-on experience in the fast-growing renewable energy sector while contributing to the financial operations of a Solar Energy as a Service (EaaS) provider.
The Junior Accountant will support the Finance team in maintaining accurate financial records, preparing reports, and ensuring compliance with company policies and regulatory standards.

The Junior Accountant will assist with daily accounting tasks, maintain proper documentation, and support the preparation of financial reports while ensuring compliance with internal and statutory requirements.
Key Responsibilities
- Post and reconcile daily financial transactions in the accounting system
- Maintain invoices, receipts, payments, and other accounting records
- Assist with bank reconciliations and resolve discrepancies
- Update accounts payable and receivable records
- Prepare monthly financial reports and schedules for management review
- Support statutory compliance, including WHT, VAT, and other financial documentation
- Provide documentation and explanations for internal and external audits
- Maintain confidentiality and compliance with company financial policies
- Perform other accounting duties as assigned by the CFO
Qualifications and Requirements
- HND or BSc in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
- 2–3 years of work experience in accounting or finance (NYSC experience is acceptable)
- Basic understanding of accounting principles and financial reporting
- Familiarity with accounting software such as Sage is an advantage
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and other Microsoft Office tools
- Strong attention to detail, numerical skills, and accuracy
- Good communication, teamwork, and ability to meet deadlines
