Job Overview
As a Staff Software Engineer specializing in Site Reliability Engineering, you will play a critical role in designing, building, and maintaining the systems that power Phantom's global platform. You'll work with a world-class engineering team to ensure our infrastructure is reliable, scalable, and secure at every level. This is a remote position offering the flexibility to work from anywhere while contributing to a product used by millions globally.
Key Responsibilities
- Design and implement scalable infrastructure solutions supporting millions of users
- Lead incident response and post-mortem processes to drive continuous improvement
- Develop automation frameworks and tooling to reduce manual operational work
- Establish and maintain SLOs, SLIs, and SLAs across critical services
- Mentor junior engineers and foster a culture of reliability excellence
- Collaborate with product and backend teams to identify and resolve performance bottlenecks
Requirements
- 7+ years of software engineering experience with 3+ years in SRE or infrastructure roles
- Deep expertise in distributed systems, cloud platforms, and containerization
- Strong proficiency in at least one systems programming language
- Demonstrated leadership in designing and implementing large-scale systems
- Excellent problem-solving and communication skills
