We are seeking a highly organized and proactive Technical Assistant to support our Managing Director in a remote capacity. This role is crucial in ensuring the smooth operation of the MD’s office and contributing to the efficient execution of our strategic initiatives across the continent.
Job Overview
The Technical Assistant to the Managing Director will provide comprehensive administrative and technical support, enabling the MD to focus on strategic leadership and business development. This remote position requires a detail-oriented individual with excellent communication and organizational skills, capable of managing diverse tasks and maintaining confidentiality.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide direct administrative support to the Managing Director, including calendar management, email correspondence, and scheduling.
- Prepare and edit documents, reports, presentations, and other materials as required.
- Conduct research and gather information on various topics relevant to PIF Africa’s operations and strategic goals.
- Assist in the coordination of meetings, workshops, and events, both internal and external.
- Manage and maintain digital filing systems and databases, ensuring data integrity and accessibility.
- Liaise with internal teams and external stakeholders on behalf of the Managing Director.
- Handle travel arrangements and expense reporting.
- Perform other duties as assigned to support the Managing Director and the PIF Africa team.
Requirements
- Proven experience as a Technical Assistant, Executive Assistant, or in a similar administrative role.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook) and collaboration tools.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Strong organizational and time management abilities.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a remote team.
- Discretion and a high level of confidentiality.
- Familiarity with the African development landscape is an asset.
