The Catholic Caritas Foundation of Nigeria (Caritas Nigeria), incorporated as the Catholic Caritas Foundation (CCFN), is the development agency of the Catholic Church in Nigeria. Established in 2010, Caritas Nigeria is dedicated to improving the lives of vulnerable populations through sustainable development initiatives. We are seeking a dedicated and technically adept State Technical Assistant to support our impactful programs across various states.
Job Overview
The State Technical Assistant will provide essential technical support to Caritas Nigeria programs within a designated state. This role involves assisting in project implementation, data collection, reporting, and ensuring the efficient functioning of technical aspects of our initiatives, aligning with organizational goals and standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Support the planning and execution of technical activities related to project implementation.
- Assist in data collection, verification, and management, ensuring accuracy and completeness.
- Provide technical guidance and support to community-based teams and beneficiaries.
- Contribute to the preparation of technical reports and documentation.
- Facilitate the smooth operation of project equipment and resources.
- Participate in capacity-building activities for staff and partners.
- Liaise with relevant stakeholders at the state level as directed.
Requirements
- A Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field (e.g., Social Sciences, Development Studies, Public Health, Agriculture).
- Proven experience in providing technical assistance in development or humanitarian contexts.
- Strong data management and analytical skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Familiarity with the operational context of Nigeria.
