Job Overview

The Sourcing Manager will be instrumental in developing and executing effective sourcing strategies for all raw materials and packaging necessary for NutriK KFZE’s operations in Nigeria. This role demands a strategic thinker with a strong understanding of procurement processes, supplier relationship management, and cost optimization within the Nigerian market.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement comprehensive sourcing strategies for raw materials, ingredients, and packaging.
  • Identify, evaluate, and onboard new suppliers, ensuring compliance with quality, ethical, and sustainability standards.
  • Negotiate pricing, terms, and contracts with suppliers to achieve cost savings and favorable agreements.
  • Manage and foster strong, long-term relationships with key suppliers.
  • Monitor market trends, identify potential supply chain risks, and develop mitigation strategies.
  • Ensure timely delivery of materials, managing inventory levels and optimizing logistics.
  • Collaborate with internal departments (e.g., Production, Quality Assurance) to meet demand and quality requirements.
  • Analyze procurement data and provide regular reports on sourcing performance and key metrics.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • Proven experience as a Sourcing Manager or in a similar procurement role, preferably within the food or FMCG sector.
  • In-depth knowledge of the Nigerian sourcing landscape and supplier base.
  • Strong negotiation, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
  • Proficiency in procurement software and ERP systems.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a dynamic environment.
