Job Overview

The Social Media & Content Lead at Babymigo will play a pivotal role in shaping our online presence and narrative, ensuring that our brand voice resonates with our audience and effectively communicates our mission. This role involves developing and implementing a content strategy that not only engages our existing community but also attracts new members, driving growth and awareness of the Babymigo platform. The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of social media dynamics, content creation, and the nuances of the African parenting landscape. By leading our social media and content efforts, this individual will be instrumental in cementing Babymigo’s position as a leading authority in African parenting.

Key Responsibilities

* Develop and execute a comprehensive social media strategy that aligns with Babymigo’s overall mission and objectives, focusing on engagement, growth, and community building.
* Create high-quality, engaging content (including blog posts, social media posts, newsletters, etc.) that resonates with African parents and addresses their needs, concerns, and interests.
* Manage and maintain Babymigo’s social media presence across all platforms, ensuring consistent branding, tone, and quality of content.
* Collaborate with internal stakeholders, including experts and service providers, to develop content that showcases their expertise and services.
* Analyze social media metrics and adjust the content strategy accordingly to optimize engagement and reach.
* Stay abreast of the latest social media trends, algorithm changes, and best practices, adapting our strategy to remain competitive and effective.
* Foster a community of loyal followers by responding to comments, direct messages, and reviews in a timely and professional manner.
* Plan, coordinate, and execute social media campaigns and contests to drive user-generated content and increase brand visibility.

Requirements

* A minimum of 3 years of experience in social media marketing, content creation, or a related field, preferably with a focus on the African market.
* Strong understanding of social media platforms, their respective audiences, and how to leverage them for brand growth.
* Excellent content creation skills, with the ability to write, edit, and curate high-quality content that resonates with diverse audiences.
* Proven track record of successfully developing and implementing social media strategies that drive engagement and growth.
* Ability to work independently and as part of a team, collaborating with various stakeholders to achieve common goals.
* Strong analytical skills, with the ability to interpret social media metrics and adjust strategies based on data insights.
* Familiarity with content management systems, social media scheduling tools, and analytics software.
