Job Overview

The Senior Quantity Surveyor will be instrumental in managing all costs relating to construction projects, from initial calculations to final figures. This role demands a proactive individual with a strong understanding of construction contracts, tender processes, and project financial management. The successful candidate will play a crucial role in ensuring the profitability and successful financial completion of our projects.

Key Responsibilities

  • Prepare detailed cost estimates and tender submissions.
  • Manage and control project budgets and expenditure.
  • Administer construction contracts and ensure compliance.
  • Valuation of works and interim payment applications.
  • Identify and mitigate financial risks.
  • Prepare final accounts and project close-out reports.
  • Liaise with clients, contractors, and project stakeholders.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Quantity Surveying, Construction Management, or a related field.
  • Professional qualification (e.g., RICS) is highly desirable.
  • Minimum of 7 years of relevant experience in a Senior QS role.
  • In-depth knowledge of construction law and contract administration.
  • Proficiency in relevant QS software and MS Office Suite.
  • Excellent analytical, negotiation, and communication skills.
  • Proven track record in cost management of large-scale construction projects.
