Job Overview

The Chief Finance Officer will oversee all financial aspects of Layer3 Nigeria, providing strategic financial leadership and management. This role is critical in driving financial planning, reporting, risk management, and ensuring compliance with all relevant regulations. The CFO will be instrumental in supporting the company’s expansion and profitability goals.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and implement comprehensive financial strategies aligned with Layer3’s business objectives in Nigeria.
• Manage all financial planning, budgeting, forecasting, and reporting processes.
• Oversee cash flow management, treasury operations, and optimize working capital.
• Ensure accuracy and integrity of financial statements and compliance with local and international accounting standards.
• Lead and mentor the finance team, fostering a culture of excellence and continuous improvement.
• Provide strategic financial insights and recommendations to the executive leadership team.
• Manage relationships with financial institutions, auditors, and regulatory bodies.
• Identify and mitigate financial risks, implementing robust internal controls.
• Drive efficiency in financial operations and explore opportunities for cost optimization.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field; a Master’s degree or professional qualification (e.g., ACA, ACCA, CMA) is highly desirable.
• Proven experience as a CFO or senior finance executive, preferably within the technology or telecommunications sector in Nigeria.
• Strong understanding of financial regulations and compliance in Nigeria.
• Exceptional leadership, strategic thinking, and analytical skills.
• Proficiency in financial modeling, forecasting, and budgeting software.
• Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
