Registered with the Corporate Affairs Commission (CAC) under number 62357, LGCF champions the rights and well-being of children, women, and prison inmates. Our multifaceted mandate includes providing pro-bono legal services for civil justice, facilitating equal access to quality education for disadvantaged children, and actively contributing to the reduction of poverty and sexual and gender-based violence through strategic partnerships. We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Senior PR and Communications Officer to join our dedicated team in Nigeria.
Job Overview
The Senior PR and Communications Officer will be instrumental in developing and executing comprehensive public relations and communication strategies for Legend Golden Care Foundation. This role requires a strategic thinker with exceptional communication skills, adept at building and maintaining the organization’s positive public image and expanding its reach.
Key Responsibilities
Develop and implement integrated PR and communication strategies aligned with LGCF’s mission and objectives.
Craft compelling press releases, media advisories, and other communication materials.
Manage media relations, cultivate relationships with journalists, and secure positive media coverage.
Oversee the organization’s social media presence, content creation, and community engagement.
Develop and manage internal and external communication channels.
Organize and promote LGCF events and campaigns.
Monitor media coverage and analyze communication effectiveness.
Advise leadership on communication matters and crisis management.
Requirements
Bachelor’s degree in Communications, Public Relations, Journalism, Marketing, or a related field.
Minimum of 5 years of progressive experience in public relations and communications, preferably within the non-profit sector.
Proven track record in developing and executing successful PR campaigns.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with a strong command of English.
Proficiency in social media management and digital communication tools.
Demonstrated ability to build and maintain strong media relationships.
Strong organizational and project management skills.
Understanding of the Nigerian media landscape and social issues.
