Job Overview

We’re seeking an experienced Senior Backend Engineer (Java) to join our team of skilled professionals. As a Senior Backend Engineer, you will play a critical role in designing, developing, and maintaining our backend systems, ensuring they are scalable, reliable, and meet the highest standards of quality. You will be responsible for leading the development of new features, collaborating with cross-functional teams, and contributing to the overall technical vision of our company. Our ideal candidate is a seasoned engineer with a passion for Java and a drive to deliver exceptional results in a fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities

* Design, develop, and maintain high-quality backend systems using Java, with a focus on scalability, reliability, and performance
* Lead the development of new features, working closely with product managers, designers, and other engineers to ensure seamless integration
* Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including frontend engineers, quality assurance engineers, and DevOps engineers to ensure end-to-end functionality
* Participate in code reviews, providing constructive feedback and guidance to junior engineers
* Troubleshoot and resolve complex technical issues, using analytical and problem-solving skills to identify root causes
* Contribute to the development of technical roadmaps, architectures, and standards, helping to drive the technical vision of our company
* Stay up-to-date with industry trends and emerging technologies, applying this knowledge to improve our backend systems and processes
* Mentor and coach junior engineers, sharing knowledge and expertise to help them grow and develop

Requirements

* 5+ years of experience in backend software development, with a focus on Java
* Strong knowledge of Java programming language, including Java 8 features and later versions
* Experience with popular Java frameworks, such as Spring Boot, Hibernate, and Apache Kafka
* Excellent understanding of software design patterns, principles, and best practices
* Strong problem-solving skills, with the ability to analyze complex technical issues and develop creative solutions
* Experience with cloud-based technologies, such as AWS or Azure, and containerization using Docker
* Strong communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively in a distributed team environment
