Job Overview
The Security Supervisor will be instrumental in overseeing and coordinating security operations at Proforce Limited’s facilities in Nigeria. This role demands a proactive and vigilant individual with a proven ability to manage security personnel, implement effective security protocols, and ensure the safety and protection of company assets and personnel.
Key Responsibilities
- Supervise, train, and manage a team of security guards, ensuring adherence to established protocols.
- Develop and implement comprehensive security plans and procedures to mitigate risks and enhance safety.
- Conduct regular security assessments and audits of premises to identify potential vulnerabilities.
- Respond effectively to security incidents, emergencies, and alarms, taking appropriate action.
- Maintain detailed records of security activities, incidents, and investigations.
- Liaise with internal departments and external security agencies as required.
- Monitor and manage access control systems and surveillance equipment.
- Ensure compliance with all relevant security regulations and company policies.
Requirements
- Proven experience as a Security Supervisor or in a similar leadership role.
- Strong understanding of security principles, procedures, and best practices.
- Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to remain calm and decisive under pressure.
- Proficiency in using security equipment and technology.
- Relevant security certifications or training are an advantage.
- Prior experience in the defence or manufacturing sector is beneficial.
- Minimum of a secondary school certificate; higher education or relevant qualifications preferred.
