Job Overview
The Sanitation Analyst will play a crucial role in developing, implementing, and monitoring sanitation programs within our Nigerian manufacturing operations. This position requires a keen eye for detail, a strong understanding of food safety principles, and the ability to translate scientific data into actionable improvements to ensure a hygienic production environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and implement comprehensive sanitation procedures and cleaning schedules.
- Conduct regular inspections and audits of production areas, equipment, and storage facilities to ensure compliance with sanitation standards.
- Monitor and analyze sanitation effectiveness through environmental swabbing, ATP testing, and other relevant microbiological and chemical tests.
- Investigate and report on any sanitation-related deviations or non-compliance issues, recommending corrective actions.
- Maintain accurate records of all sanitation activities, test results, and training.
- Collaborate with production and quality assurance teams to integrate sanitation best practices into daily operations.
- Stay abreast of industry best practices, regulatory requirements, and new sanitation technologies.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Food Science, Microbiology, Chemistry, or a related scientific field.
- Proven experience in a sanitation or quality control role within the food and beverage industry.
- Strong knowledge of HACCP, GMP, and other relevant food safety and sanitation principles.
- Proficiency in data analysis and report writing.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
