Job Overview
Colourbox Early Learning Hub is seeking a welcoming and organized Receptionist to be the first point of contact for our families, visitors, and staff. This vital role ensures the smooth daily operation of our hub, contributing to a positive and efficient atmosphere. The ideal candidate will be a friendly, professional individual with excellent communication and administrative skills, ready to embrace the dynamic environment of an early learning center.
Key Responsibilities
* Serve as the primary point of contact, warmly greeting and assisting parents, children, visitors, and staff with inquiries and needs.
* Manage incoming and outgoing calls, emails, and mail, ensuring prompt and accurate distribution of information.
* Maintain the reception area in a clean, organized, and welcoming manner, reflecting the standards of Colourbox Early Learning Hub.
* Handle inquiries about enrollment, program details, and schedules, providing accurate and helpful information.
* Assist with administrative tasks such as data entry, filing, photocopying, and maintaining records.
* Coordinate with teaching staff and management to facilitate communication and address operational needs.
* Manage appointment scheduling and visitor logs with professionalism and discretion.
* Provide general support to the management team as needed to ensure the efficient running of the hub.
Requirements
* Proven experience in a receptionist, administrative assistant, or customer service role, preferably within an educational or childcare setting.
* Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to build rapport with diverse individuals.
* Strong organizational skills and meticulous attention to detail.
* Proficiency in basic computer applications, including email, word processing, and data management.
* A patient, friendly, and approachable demeanor, with a genuine interest in early childhood development.
* Ability to multitask and prioritize effectively in a fast-paced environment.
* High school diploma or equivalent; further education or certifications in administrative or early childhood related fields are a plus.
