UNICEF Nigeria is seeking a motivated Programme Associate (G-6) to contribute to the achievement of the Millennium Development Goals and the realization of children’s rights within the country. Job Overview
The Programme Associate will provide programmatic and administrative support to assigned UNICEF Nigeria programmes, ensuring efficient delivery and alignment with country office goals and global mandates. This role is crucial for operationalizing programme strategies and facilitating smooth programme implementation.
Key Responsibilities
- Support the planning, implementation, and monitoring of assigned programme activities.
- Assist in the preparation of programme documents, reports, and presentations.
- Liaise with implementing partners and stakeholders to gather information and provide updates.
- Maintain programme records and databases, ensuring accuracy and completeness.
- Provide logistical and administrative support for meetings, workshops, and field missions.
- Contribute to the monitoring of programme budgets and expenditures.
Requirements
- Completion of a secondary education. A first-level university degree is an asset.
- A minimum of six years of relevant progressive experience in programme support or administrative roles, preferably within a UN agency or international organization.
- Proficiency in computer applications, including MS Office suite.
- Strong organizational and time management skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Knowledge of UNICEF’s work and child-related issues in Nigeria is desirable.
