Job Overview

As a Plumbing Technician at Eko Maintenance Limited, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the seamless operation and integrity of plumbing systems within our managed high-rise properties. This full-time position, based in our Victoria Island, Lagos office, demands a proactive approach to diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining all aspects of water supply, drainage, and sanitation. You will be instrumental in upholding our reputation for exceptional service and ensuring the comfort and safety of building occupants.

Key Responsibilities

* Conduct comprehensive inspections and assessments of plumbing systems, identifying potential issues and recommending appropriate solutions.
* Perform routine maintenance, repairs, and installations of all plumbing fixtures, pipes, valves, and associated equipment.
* Troubleshoot and resolve a wide range of plumbing problems, including leaks, blockages, low water pressure, and faulty drainage systems.
* Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical diagrams to accurately understand plumbing layouts and specifications.
* Adhere strictly to all safety regulations, building codes, and company policies during the execution of all plumbing duties.
* Maintain detailed records of all maintenance activities, repairs, and materials used for reporting and inventory purposes.
* Collaborate effectively with other maintenance staff and contractors to ensure integrated and efficient building management.
* Respond promptly to emergency plumbing calls and provide timely and effective solutions to minimize disruption.

Requirements

* Proven experience as a Plumbing Technician, with a strong understanding of commercial and residential plumbing systems.
* Proficiency in diagnosing and repairing a variety of plumbing issues, including pipe fitting, soldering, and drainage clearing.
* Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, blueprints, and schematics.
* Possession of relevant plumbing certifications or vocational training is highly advantageous.
* Excellent problem-solving skills and a meticulous attention to detail.
* Strong work ethic, reliability, and the ability to work independently or as part of a team.
* Good communication skills, with the ability to explain technical issues clearly to non-technical personnel.
