Job Overview

The Orderly / Potter plays a crucial role in maintaining the cleanliness and organization of hospital areas, including patient rooms, wards, and common spaces. This position requires attention to detail, a strong work ethic, and the ability to follow established protocols for hygiene and waste management.

Key Responsibilities

• Maintain a high standard of cleanliness and hygiene in assigned areas.
• Transport patients, equipment, and supplies as directed.
• Assist with patient mobility and comfort, following established care plans.
• Dispose of waste and linens according to hospital procedures.
• Replenish supplies in patient rooms and utility areas.
• Report any maintenance or safety concerns to the supervisor.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Previous experience in a healthcare or hospital setting is advantageous.
• Ability to perform physically demanding tasks, including lifting and standing for extended periods.
• Strong understanding of hygiene and sanitation principles.
• Reliable, punctual, and able to work effectively as part of a team.
• Good communication skills.
