Job Overview
The Nurse Manager will play a pivotal role in leading clinical excellence and driving patient-centered care at CURE Niger Hospital. As a member of the Senior Management Team, this individual will be responsible for developing and implementing strategic plans to strengthen systems of care, enhance patient outcomes, and foster a culture of continuous improvement. With a focus on surgical care for children with treatable disabilities, the Nurse Manager will work closely with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless care delivery and exceptional patient experiences. The ideal candidate will be a visionary leader with a strong clinical background, exceptional communication skills, and a proven track record of developing and mentoring high-performing teams.
Key Responsibilities
* Provide strategic leadership and direction to the nursing team, fostering a culture of excellence and continuous improvement
* Develop and implement clinical protocols, policies, and procedures to ensure high-quality patient care and compliance with regulatory requirements
* Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including surgical, anesthesia, and rehabilitation services, to ensure seamless care delivery and exceptional patient outcomes
* Mentor and develop nursing staff, providing coaching, training, and performance feedback to enhance skills and knowledge
* Analyze patient outcomes and quality metrics, identifying areas for improvement and developing strategies to address gaps in care
* Develop and manage budgets, ensuring effective resource allocation and stewardship of hospital resources
* Foster strong relationships with patients, families, and community stakeholders, promoting patient-centered care and exceptional customer service
* Stay up-to-date with best practices and emerging trends in nursing and healthcare, applying knowledge to drive innovation and improvement
Requirements
* Bachelor’s degree in Nursing, with a minimum of 5 years of experience in a senior nursing leadership role
* Strong clinical background in surgical nursing, with experience in pediatric care and treatable disabilities
* Fluency in French and English, with excellent communication and interpersonal skills
* Proven track record of developing and mentoring high-performing teams, with a focus on leadership development and succession planning
* Experience with quality improvement initiatives, patient safety protocols, and regulatory compliance
* Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to analyze complex data and develop strategic plans
