Job Overview

The Medical Laboratory Technician will play a crucial role in our pathology department, ensuring accurate and timely analysis of patient samples. This position requires a meticulous approach to laboratory procedures and a commitment to upholding the highest standards of quality and patient care.

Key Responsibilities

  • Perform a wide range of laboratory tests, including hematology, biochemistry, microbiology, and serology.
  • Operate and maintain laboratory equipment, ensuring calibration and proper functioning.
  • Prepare reagents and stains according to established protocols.
  • Accurately record and report test results.
  • Adhere to all laboratory safety guidelines and protocols.
  • Participate in quality control and quality assurance programs.
  • Requirements

  • OND or HND in Medical Laboratory Science.
  • Registration with the Medical Laboratory Science Council of Nigeria (MLSCN).
  • Proven experience in a clinical laboratory setting.
  • Strong understanding of laboratory techniques and instrumentation.
  • Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Good communication and interpersonal skills.
