Job Overview

The HSE Food Officer will be responsible for the implementation and oversight of health, safety, and environmental policies and procedures specifically within our industrial food service operations. This position plays a pivotal role in mitigating risks and ensuring compliance with all relevant regulations to guarantee the well-being of our staff and clients.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement comprehensive HSE policies and procedures for food handling and catering services.
  • Conduct regular risk assessments and safety audits of all catering facilities and operations.
  • Ensure strict adherence to food safety regulations, hygiene standards, and quality control measures.
  • Investigate and report on any food safety incidents, accidents, or near misses, recommending corrective actions.
  • Provide HSE training and awareness programs to catering staff.
  • Monitor compliance with environmental regulations related to waste management and sanitation.
  • Liaise with regulatory bodies and client HSE representatives.

    • Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Food Science, Environmental Health, Public Health, or a related field.
  • Proven experience as an HSE Officer, preferably within the industrial catering or food service industry.
  • In-depth knowledge of food safety standards (e.g., HACCP, ISO 22000).
  • Familiarity with Nigerian HSE regulations relevant to food operations.
  • Excellent communication, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
  • Strong leadership and training capabilities.
