Job Overview

The Deputy Technical Director will play a pivotal role in supporting the Technical Director in overseeing all aspects of production, quality assurance, and technical operations within our Zimbabwean manufacturing facilities. This role requires a strategic thinker with a strong understanding of food processing, a commitment to excellence, and the ability to lead and mentor technical teams.

Key Responsibilities

• Assist the Technical Director in managing daily operational functions of the technical department.
• Oversee production processes to ensure efficiency, quality, and adherence to standards.
• Support the implementation and maintenance of robust quality control and assurance systems.
• Contribute to process improvement initiatives and the adoption of new technologies.
• Ensure compliance with all relevant health, safety, and environmental regulations.
• Mentor and develop junior technical staff.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Food Science, Chemical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field.
• Proven experience in a technical or manufacturing leadership role within the food and beverage industry.
• Strong knowledge of food processing technologies and manufacturing principles.
• Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
• Demonstrated leadership and team management capabilities.
