Job Overview
The Emergency Program Manager will be responsible for the planning, implementation, and oversight of emergency response programs in Kuala Lumpur and surrounding regions. This role demands strong leadership, strategic thinking, and the ability to mobilize resources effectively in challenging environments.
Key Responsibilities
Lead the design and execution of emergency response projects, ensuring alignment with Solidarités International’s mission and operational standards.
Manage program budgets, resources, and logistics to ensure efficient and timely delivery of humanitarian assistance.
Supervise and mentor program teams, fostering a collaborative and effective working environment.
Conduct needs assessments and risk analyses to inform program strategy and adaptation.
Establish and maintain strong relationships with local authorities, partner organizations, and UN agencies.
Ensure adherence to humanitarian principles, international standards, and donor requirements.
Contribute to reporting, monitoring, and evaluation processes.
Requirements
Master’s degree in International Development, Humanitarian Affairs, Social Sciences, or a related field.
Minimum of 5 years of experience in humanitarian program management, with a significant portion dedicated to emergency response.
Proven experience in project cycle management, including needs assessment, proposal development, implementation, and reporting.
Demonstrated leadership and team management skills.
Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making abilities.
Strong communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
Proficiency in English; knowledge of local languages is an asset.
Willingness to travel within the region as required.
