Job Overview
GMAS Chemical is seeking a dedicated and experienced Driver to join our dynamic team in Worldwide. The Driver will be instrumental in ensuring the safe, timely, and efficient transportation of our chemical products between distribution centers, client sites, and other designated locations within Nigeria. This role requires a strong commitment to safety protocols and a professional demeanor.
Key Responsibilities
- Operate company vehicles in a safe and responsible manner, adhering to all traffic laws and regulations.
- Transport chemicals and related materials to designated locations accurately and punctually.
- Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections of vehicles, reporting any mechanical issues or damages.
- Ensure proper loading and unloading of cargo, maintaining the integrity of the products.
- Maintain accurate logs of mileage, deliveries, and fuel consumption.
- Adhere strictly to all safety and handling procedures for chemical products.
- Provide excellent customer service during deliveries.
Requirements
- Valid Nigerian driver’s license with a clean driving record.
- Proven experience as a commercial driver, preferably with experience in chemical transport.
- Knowledge of Nigerian road networks and traffic regulations.
- Ability to operate various types of commercial vehicles.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Strong understanding of safety protocols and hazardous material handling (certification is a plus).
- Physical ability to lift and move goods as required.
