We are now seeking a skilled and dedicated Dispatch Officer to join our team and play a vital role in ensuring the efficient delivery of our products to customers across Nigeria.
Job Overview
The Dispatch Officer will be responsible for coordinating and managing the dispatch of our products from our warehouses to customers, ensuring timely and accurate delivery. This involves working closely with our logistics team, transporters, and customers to ensure that all deliveries are made according to schedule and in accordance with our high standards of quality and customer service. The successful candidate will have excellent organizational and communication skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks and manage multiple stakeholders effectively. As a key member of our operations team, the Dispatch Officer will contribute to the company’s goal of providing excellent customer service and maintaining our reputation as a reliable supplier of high-quality edible oils.
Key Responsibilities
* Coordinate and manage the dispatch of products from our warehouses to customers, ensuring timely and accurate delivery
* Liaise with logistics team, transporters, and customers to ensure that all deliveries are made according to schedule
* Monitor and track the movement of goods, identifying and resolving any issues that may arise during transit
* Ensure that all products are properly packaged and labeled before dispatch, in accordance with our quality and safety standards
* Maintain accurate records of all dispatches, including delivery notes, waybills, and other relevant documentation
* Communicate with customers and internal stakeholders to provide updates on dispatch and delivery schedules
* Identify areas for improvement in our dispatch processes and implement changes to increase efficiency and customer satisfaction
Requirements
* Bachelor’s degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, or a related field
* At least 2 years of experience in a dispatch or logistics role, preferably in the FMCG industry
* Excellent organizational and communication skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks and manage multiple stakeholders effectively
* Strong problem-solving and analytical skills, with the ability to identify and resolve issues quickly
* Proficiency in Microsoft Office and other logistics management software
* Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines, with a focus on delivering high-quality results
* Strong customer service skills, with a commitment to providing excellent service to our customers
