Purpose of the GFFO M2d Evaluation Consultancy
The main goal of the consultancy is to evaluate the overall performance of the project and determine its effectiveness, efficiency, relevance, and impact using OECD DAC criteria.
Key Objectives
The consultant will:
- Assess how well the project achieved its goals and objectives
- Review community participation in project design and implementation
- Analyze project data and reports across technical sectors
- Identify lessons learned and best practices
- Generate data for tracking outcome indicators
- Evaluate gender and protection impacts on social norms
- Provide recommendations for future programming
Required Profile of Consultant
To be considered for the GFFO M2d Independent Final Evaluation consultancy, candidates must meet the following requirements:
Experience
- 5–8 years of experience in humanitarian program coordination, implementation, or M&E
- Strong background in sectors such as:
- WASH
- Protection
- Livelihoods
- Health
- Nutrition
- Proven experience evaluating humanitarian projects
- Experience with GFFO funded projects is an advantage
Education
- Master’s degree in a relevant field
- PhD is an added advantage
Skills
- Strong analytical and report writing skills
- Ability to meet tight deadlines
- Knowledge of humanitarian donor requirements
- Experience working in complex emergency settings
- Fluency in English
