Job Overview
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Coating Inspector to join our team, responsible for ensuring the quality and integrity of coatings applied to our equipment and infrastructure. The successful candidate will play a crucial role in maintaining our high standards of excellence, guaranteeing that all coatings meet the required specifications and industry regulations. As a Coating Inspector, you will work closely with our engineering and operations teams to identify and address any potential coating defects or issues, ensuring timely and effective solutions. Your expertise will be essential in maintaining the longevity and performance of our assets, ultimately contributing to the success of our clients and the growth of our company.
Key Responsibilities
* Conduct thorough inspections of coatings applied to equipment and infrastructure, ensuring compliance with industry standards and regulations
* Identify and document any coating defects or irregularities, providing detailed reports and recommendations for rectification
* Collaborate with engineering and operations teams to develop and implement corrective actions, ensuring timely and effective solutions
* Develop and maintain a comprehensive understanding of coating specifications, industry regulations, and best practices
* Provide guidance and support to junior inspectors and technicians, mentoring and training as required
* Participate in the development and implementation of quality control procedures, ensuring continuous improvement and adherence to industry standards
* Maintain accurate and detailed records of inspections, test results, and corrective actions, providing data-driven insights to inform business decisions
* Stay up-to-date with industry developments and advancements in coating technology, applying knowledge to enhance our services and solutions
Requirements
* Proven experience as a Coating Inspector, preferably within the oil and gas, power, or manufacturing industries
* Relevant certifications, such as NACE or FROSIO, demonstrating expertise in coating inspection and quality control
* Strong understanding of coating specifications, industry regulations, and best practices, with the ability to interpret and apply technical data
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams
* Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to identify and address complex coating issues
* Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, prioritizing tasks and managing multiple projects simultaneously
* Strong attention to detail, with a focus on quality and accuracy in all aspects of work
