Operating under the umbrella of Whassan Nigeria Ltd, and with its subsidiary Adasa Catering Services Ltd (ADASA) extending services beyond the O&G sector since 2010, WENL maintains a commitment to excellence in all its operations. This role is integral to ensuring the smooth and efficient functioning of our catering facilities.
Job Overview
The Canteen Manager will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of canteen operations, ensuring high standards of food quality, hygiene, customer service, and cost-effectiveness. This role demands strong leadership, organizational skills, and a proactive approach to managing a busy service environment within Whassan Nigeria Limited.
Key Responsibilities
Manage daily canteen operations, including food preparation, service, and cleanup.
Supervise canteen staff, providing training, direction, and performance management.
Ensure adherence to strict food safety and hygiene regulations.
Monitor inventory, manage stock levels, and control food costs.
Develop and implement menus that cater to diverse dietary needs and preferences.
Handle customer feedback and resolve any issues promptly and professionally.
Maintain a safe and clean working environment.
Requirements
Proven experience as a Canteen Manager or in a similar supervisory role.
Strong understanding of food preparation, hygiene, and safety standards.
Excellent leadership and team management skills.
Proficiency in inventory management and cost control.
Effective communication and interpersonal abilities.
Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple tasks.
