Stanbic IBTC Bank, a leading financial services provider in Nigeria and a member of the Standard Bank Group, is seeking a skilled and dedicated Officer, Network Administration to join our dynamic technology team. This role is crucial in ensuring the stability, security, and performance of our extensive network infrastructure, supporting our diverse business operations across Corporate and Investment Banking, Personal and Business Banking, and Wealth Management.
Job Overview
The Officer, Network Administration will be responsible for the installation, configuration, maintenance, and troubleshooting of Stanbic IBTC Bank’s network infrastructure. You will play a key role in ensuring optimal network performance, security, and availability to support critical banking operations and client services.
Key Responsibilities
Install, configure, and maintain network hardware and software, including routers, switches, firewalls, and VPNs.
Monitor network performance, identify bottlenecks, and implement solutions to ensure optimal operation.
Troubleshoot and resolve network-related issues in a timely and efficient manner.
Implement and maintain network security measures to protect against unauthorized access and cyber threats.
Perform regular network backups and disaster recovery planning.
Document network configurations, procedures, and incident resolutions.
Collaborate with other IT teams to ensure seamless integration of network services.
Requirements
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
Proven experience in network administration, preferably in a financial services environment.
Proficiency in networking protocols (TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, etc.).
Experience with network security principles and tools.
Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
Relevant professional certifications (e.g., CCNA, CCNP) are an added advantage.
