Job Overview

The Engineering Manager (Mechanical) will be responsible for overseeing all mechanical engineering operations within the agrochemical formulation plant. This includes managing a team of engineers and technicians, ensuring the optimal performance of plant machinery, and implementing robust maintenance strategies to maximize uptime and minimize operational costs.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead and manage the mechanical engineering department, fostering a culture of continuous improvement and safety.
• Oversee the installation, commissioning, and maintenance of all mechanical equipment and systems within the formulation plant.
• Develop and implement preventative, predictive, and corrective maintenance programs to ensure machinery reliability and longevity.
• Troubleshoot mechanical issues, identify root causes, and implement effective solutions.
• Ensure adherence to all safety, health, and environmental regulations and company policies.
• Manage spare parts inventory and procurement processes for mechanical components.
• Collaborate with production and quality assurance teams to optimize operational efficiency.
• Conduct regular performance reviews and provide training and development opportunities for the engineering team.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field.
• Proven experience in a mechanical engineering leadership role within a chemical or agrochemical formulation plant.
• Strong understanding of process equipment, pumps, valves, piping systems, and rotating machinery.
• Expertise in maintenance planning, scheduling, and execution.
• Excellent problem-solving, analytical, and decision-making skills.
• Proficiency in relevant engineering software and CMMS (Computerized Maintenance Management System).
• Strong leadership and team management abilities.
• Knowledge of safety protocols and regulatory compliance in a manufacturing environment.
