Job Overview
The RT Geomechanics Engineer will play a critical role in providing real-time geomechanical analysis and support to drilling and production operations. This position involves the application of advanced geomechanical principles and software to monitor, predict, and mitigate potential geomechanical risks, ensuring safer and more efficient well operations.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct real-time geomechanical analysis using advanced modeling software.
- Interpret wellbore stability, fracture gradient, and pore pressure data.
- Provide actionable recommendations to drilling and completion teams.
- Collaborate with geoscientists and reservoir engineers to integrate geomechanical insights.
- Develop and refine real-time geomechanical workflows and methodologies.
- Identify and analyze potential geomechanical hazards and propose mitigation strategies.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Geosciences, Petroleum Engineering, or a related field.
- Proven experience in real-time geomechanical analysis and wellbore stability.
- Proficiency in industry-standard geomechanics software (e.g., GeoStudio, Rocscience, Petrel).
- Strong understanding of rock mechanics principles and their application in E&P.
